Age Group Guidelines

Participants in youth divisions, must be UNDER (not equal to) the specified age as of January 1, 2018. For example: Under-16 players must be born in 2002 or later. In other words age groups are as per the 2017/2018 BCSA season. Birth date must be marked on the Roster form. Players are permitted to play up an age group if they so choose. Here are some specifics about each age group:

U-10: Born 2008 and later

U-12: Born 2006 and 2007

U-14: Born 2004 and 2005

U-16: Born 2002 and 2003

NOTE: Players can play in an older age group if they choose

Format

Youth teams will play three round robin games on Friday, August 11th. Semi-final and final matches will take place Saturday, August 12th. Award ceremonies for teams placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will directly follow the final game in each division.

Cost

Entries are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. The tournament sells out early so send in your form soon!

You may register online or through mail. See Registration tab for details. A cheque must accompany your registration form in the mail to be officially registered. Cheques should be made payable to the Umbro Beach Soccer Blast.

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

What You Get

  • minimum of three thrilling beach soccer matches
  • option to purchase tournament t-shirts at the time of registration for $15.00 each
  • water will be made available at tournament fields
  • awesome Umbro, Soccerwest, White Spot, and other prizes presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each division
  • pinnies will be provided to distinguish teams where necessary. Teams are encouraged to bring their own uniforms

  • old socks to protect feet
  • sports tape (also available for purchase on site)
  • water bottle to access water on site (no cups available)
  • sun protection
  • cash – no credit cards or interact accepted on site. Great food available as well as event merchandise at great prices!
